HIGHLIGHTS & ACCOLADES
SIX STRING SOLDIERS
As the Social Media Manager for John Fogerty, I was always on the lookout for fresh content for his pages. One day, during my search, I discovered a group called the Six String Soldiers. They were performing John’s song “Bad Moon Rising” for Army personnel and patients at a United States Veterans Affairs hospital. I immediately reached out to the soldiers to express my gratitude and then shared the video and an idea with Julie, John Fogerty’s wife and manager. I then proposed a Crazy Eyed Deer…
The idea: “What if we gave the Six String Soldiers tickets to John’s next concert, allowing them to stand up and be recognized during the show?”
After a few weeks of fun brainstorming sessions, this small idea blossomed into something bigger. John decided to join them at the North Las Vegas VA Medical Center to perform in honor of National POW-MIA Recognition Day. Soon after, I contacted the Six String Soldiers again to inform them that they would receive a call from the Creative Artists Agency (CAA) with an invitation to join John for his latest tour residency at the Venetian Theater in Las Vegas. This initiative not only raised awareness for our military and veterans but also showcased John’s ongoing support for them and enhanced the visibility of the Six String Soldiers.
